He worked for a major defense industry contractor serving the U.S. military for seventeen years. Rich?s heritage includes eight ancestors who fought on the American side in the Revolutionary War. His wife, Deborah, a member of the Fort San Nicholas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is a descendant of several Revolutionary War heroes, including Major Jonathan Tipton III.
